The paintings on lino (entitled 'Srečanja') are taken from an old studio floor and reference action painting. The forms and colours seem dated and hint at a lost time in history. They are highly influenced by nostalgic stories of Yugoslavia's socialist period and inspire the title 'encounters'. In some of the images there are allusions to human reproduction and procreation.
This forms the other aspect of the title 'encounters'. These paintings explore sexual encounters through symbolic forms that reference human cells. By alluding to reproduction and procreation on a molecular level, the paintings seek to explore why the emotional charge of these encounters can never be sufficiently explored by looking at this subject down a microscope.
